COVID-19 Response

As we all continue to deal with the challenges presented by COVID-19, Horwitz & Damicone remains committed to providing timely, thorough and needed services to all our clients. We continue to monitor the state's latest guidelines and recommendations for the opening of general offices to ensure that we are following safe and socially responsible practices.

We are committed to the health, safety and wellness of our employees, clients  as well as the communities we serve. We have been operating seamlessly in a virtual environment for the past several weeks and we will continue to support remote workforce operations as encouraged by Governor DeWine.

However, during this time we will also be working diligently to prepare our offices to once again receive clients in person. Before we can do this we will need to have the appropriate operating procedures and supplies in place in order to ensure the safety and well being of everyone.

Even though our doors may be closed, please know that we remain fully operational and available to all our existing and new clients. We have always been, and will continue to be, available via Skype, Facetime, email, phone, text and fax to address any of your concerns or questions.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time.

Considerations During the COVID-19 Outbreak

  • Income Taxes. In light of COVID-19's effect on the economy and the changes in the laws being considered, how can I minimize my income taxes?  Horwitz & Damicone offers a flat fee, income tax review designed  to maximize your take home and minimize your income taxes.

  • Asset Protection. Given the historically unique situation that businesses are facing there are ways you can protect your business' operational assets in the event of a prolonged downturn in the economy. Horwitz & Damicone has developed a proprietary product, similar to business downturn insurance, that can address these issues.

  • Business Planning. If the dire predictions about a recession come true; how is my business positioned to "weather this storm"? Horwitz & Damicone offers a flat fee, 20 point "Business Health Checklist" for your company that can help you assess and guide your future planning.

  • Individual Planning. As with businesses, individuals should be reviewing and analyzing their situation and determining how best to solidify their current financial standing. Horwitz & Damicone offers a flat fee, 20 point "Individual Recession Checklist" to help give you peace of mind and enhance your financial security objectives.

  • Estate Planning. While estate planning is generally relegated to the bottom of your to do list, our current climate brings home the importance of having a proper estate plan in place for the safety and security of your family. Horwitz & Damicone offers several flat fee packages based on the complexity of your estate. A number of the critical documents that you may need can be done, virtually, during this "Stay at Home" period.

  • Succession Planning.  Even in adverse times, a business owner can put into place a proper succession plan that will not only help his/her family moving forward, but also ensure that his/her employees are protected, should there be an untimely change in ownership. Horwitz & Damicone has implemented numerous succession planning programs for businesses of all sizes. We are happy to meet with you for a "virtual" conversation to see how we can assist you with your succession planning.
